Zac Maas was born in Deadwood, South Dakota (yes, that one) and grew up in the Black Hills. He went from Taco Bell boy to drug dealer, to software engineer, to rapper, to homeless, and finally to one of the pioneers of the marijuana industry (2014’s sexiest male budtender) before finding comedy. An international headliner, from Mexico to Alaska, a writer, filmmaker, and actor, he calls Denver home. Over the last five years, Zac has become a part of one of the best comedy scenes in the country. He is a regular at The World Famous Comedy Works and has worked with amazing acts like Kyle Kinane, Mike Birbiglia, Jessica Kirson, Gilbert Gottfried, Dana Gould, and many more. In 2018 Thrillist called him one of the 50 best-undiscovered comedians in the country. Zac has performed at many exclusive comedy festivals (Bridgetown, High Plains, Cape Fear, SnubFest, and The Largest 420 festival in the world) and is a fan favorite on many hit shows (50 first Jokes, Schtick or Treat, The Narrators, We Still Like You, and The Nerd Roast). Additionally, he’s received accolades as a producer and host for his remarkable shows Uncalled Four (Comedy Works), The Laugh Night on Earth (Alamo Draft House), Whiskey and Cigarettes podcast (beat Serial for Westword’s best podcast), and the Denver Phone It In Film Festival (Received an Imagine 20/20 grant from the city of Denver). He recently finished directing his first pilot and is currently in talks for development.
